Sam's Half Marathon

On October 21st I'm running the Birmingham Half Marathon for Birmingham Children's Hospital, specifically the liver unit.

My nephew Jake was diagnosed with Biliary Artresia at 8 weeks old. This is a disease and basically the bile doesn't flow through the liver and poisons it, eventually stopping it working altogether. At 10 month's old he had to have a liver transplant. He is doing well now although it has been a struggle. He celebrated his 1st birthday last month and ate lots of cake!

The liver unit depends heavily on outside donations and I'm fund raising because without their work and commitment, well it doesn't bear thinking about! I have a just giving page: www.justgiving.com/sarma-feldmanis any donations will be gratefully received.
